Favourite Books of 2022

Hello Readers,

I hope during 2022, you read all the books you wanted and enjoyed every adventure they took you on.

A book stack of all the books mentioned in this article

My reading year was a little up and down in regards to loving the books I read, some I loved, some I felt were okay and a couple I didn’t even finish. But I did read the most books I’ve read in a long time and from the 70 books I’ve somehow managed to read this year, I wanted to share my favourites…

• This is How You Lose The Time War by Amal El-Mohtar

• The Galaxy, and The Ground Within by Becky Chambers

• The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green

• Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr

• Sourdough by Robin Sloan

• Brotherhood by Mike Chen

• Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

• Babel by R F Kuang

• The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson

• Poster Girl by Veronica Roth

• Before Your Memory Fades by Toshikazu Kawaguchi

They’re mainly in the order I read them but the last four are definitely my main favourites of the year! What were some of your favourite reads of 2022? I’d love to know.

As for my 2023 plans, well I hope to bring you more bookish content this year both in this little space and on my Bookstagram and while I don’t really have any reading goals this year, apart from my Goodreads one and reading more Shakespeare, I’m doing a little challenge of sorts to make picking my Monthly TBRs more interesting. {If you follow my Bookstagram, then you already know.} But I’ll share all about that here soon. Also keep an eye out for my December Wrap Up in the next week or so.

I hope your January is off to a kind start.

Stay Safe. Read a Book.
